Top Down Racism from the Justice Department

The small town of Kinston N.C overwhelmingly voted to remove Partisanship from their local elections by removing party affiliation from their ballots.

Sounds great right?
This is the sort of action we need to bring some Real unity back to America.
The residents all believed this would make their elections fairer for all involved.
I applaud them for this action.

Unfortunately, The Obama justice department disagrees.

According to This Washington Times article,  Blacks can't decide on the "Right" candidate, unless they see the big D next to a name.

So, the official DOJ stance seems to be that Blacks are not intelligent enough to decide on who to vote for, unless they have a democrat in the race.
If they don't see the big D, they may choose the "wrong" candidate.

According to the official DOJ line, "Non-Partisan elections discriminate against minorities.".   (WTF????)

Not surprisingly, this decision was made by the same justice dept. official that chose to drop the charges of voter intimidation against the "New Black Panthers" in Philidelphia last fall, who you may recall were filmed standing in front of a polling station, intimidating white voters from entering and voting.

According to the DOJ, "Partisan elections are necessary for Black voters to be able to elect their 'candidate of choice'.".

Let me get this right.

Unelected officials at the DOJ are actually saying that Black voters are too stupid to decide which candidate they should vote for, if they don't know a candidate is Republican or Democrat?
Our "Post-Racial" government under the watchful eye of Obama the Great, has decided that Blacks are not intelligent enough to make a decision without their help.

The Voting Rights Act is designed to break down racial barriers to voting. It is intended at its core to ensure equal opportunity for all voters, regardless of race or politics. But when enforcement is left in the hands of the militant left-wing partisans who dominate the ranks of the Civil Rights Division, the statute becomes simply another political tool, and one that is all too easily abused.

This is nothing more than Top Down Racism.

It's a blatant attempt by the Obama run Justice Department to keep a democrat majority by any means necessary. And it's aother reason for me to ask the question I've asked for years.

'Why do black Americans vote consistently for democrat candidates, even though the democrat party is Working Against them at every opportunity?'

This administration and all the assorted nuts and flakes surrounding the president are convinced America is populated with 3 year olds who can't tie their own shoes without assistance by the government.

If you need more proof, go ask the folks in Kinston N.C.

As always, comments are welcome. :o)

Obama Declares War! On Fox News

It seems our pretender in chief has finally found an enemy so reprehensible, so evil that they must be destroyed in an all out war.

That enemy, apparently is Fox News.

We may have thought the childishness reached it's peak when Obama showed up on every sunday morning talking heads show, on all the "MSM" networks from ABC to Animal Planet, but dissed Fox News.

That appears to only be the opening salvo of the hot war declared this weekend by the white house.

It's painfully obvious to anyone with more than 2 sizzling synapses, that the so called "Mainstream Media" is hopelessly in love with the Man-Child currently occupying the Oval Orifice.  Supposedly Objective "news people" like Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson and so on, have nightly Obamagasms on tv.

Hollywood is literally crawling with Obamabots who cram their liberal ideology into every program or movie they produce.  The dinosaur print media thinks that moving even further left will save their floundering companies.

Meanwhile, outside of their Opinion programming (Beck, Oreilly, Hannity) Fox news plays stright down the middle. Sometimes I think Sheppard Smith is auditionng for the NBC nightly news, Brett Baer straddles the fence although the panel leans slightly to the right.  Greta, although she was a hippie chick at CNN, and has moved to the right over the past few years, is still pretty much in the middle.

So, Why is Fox news so Evil?

They dare to show the emperor is sans clothing.

They dare to report the news, even if it happens to make Dear Leader look less than divine.

Obama appears to be extremely thin-skinned, he just can't take criticism.
He's a spoiled child who is so used to getting his way with no opposition, he doesn't know what to do if he hears the word No.
When Wolf Blitzer is "Fact-checking" SNL for a less than fawning parody, you know Obama his a thin skin.
(Of course, his recent Jeapordy appearance showed Wolf doesn't have many Facts to work from)

This is the logical outcome of "Self Esteem Based Education".
Obama is a nobody that knows nothing and Does nothing, but he feels Really good about it, and doesn't understand why everyone doesn't love him as much as He loves him. (not sure anyone could)

I believe this assault on Fox will be a miserable failue, and do nothing but increase their already astronomical ratings

Every time the left goes after Fox, or one of their on air people, the ratings increase. This is because skeptical people tune in to find out what the fuss is about, then stay there because they like what they see.

Obama may have declared war, but it's a war he can't afford to fight.

Ben Franklin warned, "Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel."

Guess, Obama should have done more than be Present in history class.

Ok, we marched, Now what?

The glow of being part of the history making march on Washington september 12 is slowly dimming, and I've talked to friends who are afraid they made the sacrifice of time and money for little return.

We gathered together that day to show our "Leaders" that we were no longer following their endless march to the left.
We accomplished a big goal, we got their attention.

The full court press from the state run media to downplay the event, and lie about the true numbers proves we have their attention.

Although one question hangs in the air, What now?

Yes, we have their attention, the question is, what are we going to do with it?

For many, unfortunately, the march will be a "one-off" event, and they will simply go back to their comfortable sofa, and back to watching Tom Delay  dancing with the stars, meanwhile Obama is still dancing with his czars.

The answer to What's next, is Get Involved.

If there is a local election around you this year, research the candidates, find out who speaks for you, then Support them.
Remember, all Politics is Local.
Don't support the parties, the parties are what got us into the current mess. Support the individual candidate that best voices your opinion of how things should work, regardless of party.

Although I consider myself somewhere to the right of Atilla the hun, I have occasionally supported democrat candidates locally, because they understood the issues better than their republican counterpart and best supported my views.
Had I just donated to the faceless party, I wouldn't have been supporting the best candidate.
If no one in your area is representing the correct views, consider running for that seat yourself, or find someone who will.

Get Involved.

Organize a local grass roots group of like-minded people.
You'd be surprised how many people in your area hold the same views you do. (many you wouldn't expect)
You'll never know until you meet them, so Go out and Meet them.
Take a couple hours a week, and form a local group where you can bounce ideas off each other and learn how best to get the message out there for your candidates, or positions.

Get Involved.

Write letters to the editor of your local paper, get the message out to folks who may not know better.
You'll be amazed at how many people you can reach with a simple letter to the editorial page of the paper.

Get Involved.
If you were at the march, chances are you took pictures or videos of the event.
Share Them! Don't worry if your friends may be annoyed, Share them, Prove to your friends and neighbors that the state run media Lied about those of us there. To counter the lies, you need the truth, those pics and vids are Proof of the truth.
Get Involved.

Organize a local tea party in your area if there isn't one already, if there is, volunteer to help for the next event. Most local tea parties are organized by a few overworked, underappreciated volunteers siting around a kitchen table, Join them.

There are other things we can do, but like conservatism itself, it's an Individual choice. One choice we can't afford to make though is to go back to the sidelines.

Get Involved.

If you Marched on 9-12, attended a tea party that day, or just sat glued to your TV, cheering on those who Were marching, you are a Great American Patriot.

Don't let it be for naught.

Stay off the sidelines and Get Involved.

Shanksville, PA 9-12-09, or How the Government screws up everything it touches.

Note. I tried to add pictures to this post, but TH's IT department are sleeping on the job again as usual and pictures refuse to work with the blog software today, I'm adding a slideshow at the bottom instead.

Friday Morning, Sept. 11, my son and I were standing in a field in Shanksville PA.

Ever since the 9/11 attacks, I have wanted to honor the heroes of flight 93, and when the 9-12 march came about, I decided this year was my chance to do just that.

The overwhelming power of that nondescript hilly field hit me like the proverbial ton of bricks.

When we stepped over the lip of the hill leading down to the crash site, I could feel that we were walking on sacred ground.  Looking at that huge scar in the earth, now filled with water, I was nearly overcome with emotion, and pride in the courage of those 40 strangers who came together out of necessity, to become an impromptu fighting force, giving America her first victory in the Global War on Terror.

It should have been a perfect day.
The sun shone down, a few fleecy clouds sailed across the sky, Americans from many states trudged down that steep hill toward the large tent erected for the family members and dignitaries, including Colin Powell and General Tommy Franks.

It Should have been a perfect day....

Although everyone could feel the power, the occasion was largely sullied by the ham handed handling of the memorial service by the park service.
What should have been all about remembering the bravery of 40 American heroes, became an example of why the government can't be trusted to run anything larger than a child's birthday party.

They have had Eight years to organize a memorial that happens once a year, and they failed miserably.

To begin with, there's no Official memorial yet, since the families roundly rejeced the "official" design the government offered that eerily resembled the Crescent and Star of the muslim faith, which was twisted and distorted then used as a weapon against our very freedom, and a suitable (politically correct) replacement hasn't been designed yet.

Because there's no Official memorial, the government refuses to put up signs pointing to the crash site. This task was taken up by private citizens, who erected home-made signs leading to the field.  As we got there following the "unofficial signs" we were greeted by an exasperated park ranger who was obviously tired of telling the 1000th person that day that parking in that area was for family members and dignitaries only.(Try planning things better then)  Public parking was accessible from the Other end of skyline road, which meant a 6 mile detour to make it to the other end of a half-mile long country lane.

We finally arrived at the impromptu memorial that sprang up shortly after that fateful day, and continues to grow even 8 years later. More about that later.

Because of the detour, the memorial service had already begun, so we hurried down the hill surrounded by Patriots who had come like us, to honor the fallen.
We weren't expecting VIP seats, but we did expect at least a little common courtesy for the 1000+ Americans who took time off on a Friday morning to be there.

I guess that was asking too much.

Family members of the victims, and dignitaries, sat in comfort in a large white circus tent with room for the press. There was a large video screen we couldn't really see, and loudspeakers Inside the tent we couldn't really hear.

For the "Plebes" like us, there was standing room around the tent, with caution tape holding us back lest we sully the august figures inside.

To me it felt like we were medieval peasants forced to stand outside of the royal banquet in hopes of getting a few scraps of leftovers.

It would have cost the park service maybe $50 to provide a couple loudspeakers Outside of the tent, so the American citizens who spent their own time and money to be there, could actually hear the memorial service. Of course, we all know the government doesn't really give a rats derriere about the Citizens of this country, and that memorial proved it to me in a substantive way.

We couldn't see anything happening inside the tent, we could only see shadows moving in shadows. Occasionaly you could hear a scrap or two of whatever was being said by the speakers at the lectern. Yet, we stood there, still glad to be a part, albeit a Small part, of remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives to protect thousands more from dying as that plane smashed into the white house or capitol building.

The only time we actually felt a part of the ceremony, was when they called the roll, and rang a bell for each name. This was because the bell was outside of the tent, so they turned up the volume so the bell ringers could hear the names. After that they turned it back down.

By then I was too disgusted with the arrogance, that we quietly left the crowd, along with a lot of others, and trudged back up the hill to the "temporary memorial".

That little patch of ground overlooking the crash site struck me more than the circus at the bottom of the hill ever could have.  Here there wasn't a government sanctioned event, or pre planned memorial.  In a space maybe 100 feet square were examples of how wonderful Human beings can be. Even after Eight years, every week at least 5000 people from all over the globe stand in that little patch of land, and many leave a little memento, or bring small offerings, some as simple as a prayer scratched onto a stone they picked up from the field.

There are privately funded monuments, from families, motorcycle clubs, veterans groups, and just individuals fom as far away as Guatemala and South Africa.
They ranged from small grave marker type stones, to large granite monuments.
It left me breathless, with tears streaming down my cheeks.

There were angels planted on stakes, each with the name of a passenger or crewmember, created by PA elementary school students.  A local sign shop donated benches, each carved with 2 names of the heroes. A large wooden cross donated by a local catholic school which people have adorned with small pins and such, each a heartfelt memento left to honor forty courageous indiviuals.

THAT should just become the Official memorial.

It means a million times more than any politically correct attempt any government funded architect could ever produce. That little patch of ground showed the True heartfelt outpouring of gratitude from Americans, and non Americans, who wanted in their own way to honor the fallen heroes.

I'm really glad we decided to make the trip to Shanksville on our way to the 9/12 march.
It left me with two powerful emotions.

It filled my heart with pride that I share this land with people who refuse to go quietly into that good night, and instead stood up to fight against the forces of overwhelming hate. They laid down their own lives to save the lives of thousands of people they didn't even know.

At the same time, it filled me with Disgust for the bureaucrats that managed to turn what should have been a beautiful memorial for American heroes, into a typical Government "Fustercluck".  Just like they have left a gaping wound on the southern tip of Manhattan for eight years.

We Went to the Moon in eight years, we built the Empire state building in 400 days, yet we have two open wounds eight years after 9-11-2001.  And people want to give government more power over our lives?

It definitely gave me that little extra push on saturday to march a little prouder, and yell a little louder at the fools playing political games in the capitol building while our nation is in crisis.

Even though I left just livid at my inept government, the memory of standing on that Hallowed Ground where the heroes of flight 93 ended their fateful trip, still makes my eyes leak and my heart sing.

If only the government hadn't Screwed it up like everything else they touch.

If you throw a tea party, they will come.

Edit
New Slideshow from the march now online!

I witnessed something truly enormous this weekend.

I saw at least a million of my fellow Americans descend on the seat of power.
They came by Train, by Car, by Bus, morocycle, plane, and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't at least one guy that hitchiked to get there.

They came with a singleminded determination, and the passion that makes this the greatest nation that ever existed on this sad little planet.

They came to defend all that is the America we all know and love.
They came to defend personal freedom, And personal Responsibility.
They came to defend their right to choose their own health care, and the responsibility of paying your own way in life.
They came to defend the very Constitution that makes this country possible.

They came with Tshirts, and protest signs they designed with their own imaginations, not pre printed and handed out by community organizers.
They Paid their own way, they weren't rounded up and handed a sack lunch and a check for $50 to protest for fun and profit.

They came to tell our "Leaders" We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore.

Sorry, never meant to "Wax Eloquent" on ya, that just sorta happened.
(steps from behind the pulpit)

My head is still swirling with images and sounds, and yes smells of saturday.(we had to walk behind the porta potties)

I guess the only way to do this justice is to start at the beginning, and go chonologically.

We stayed in Sterling VA because the rates were Cheap and the rooms were nice too. (A Suite for 65 bucks a night!) This was after spending friday morning at the Flight 93 memorial. (I'm blogging about that tomorrow)
Friday night, I sat in my hotel room, and even out there in the burbs, there was an electicity in the air.
It felt like the calm tension just before a Big storm hits.

I knew we were going to witness something Huge.

When we arrived at the Vienna metro station, the line to buy tickets, stretched out of the lobby, across the freeway catwalks in both directions, across the parking lot and down the street!

This is when I saw the first event of the day that literally filled my heart with joy.

As we stood in line, we were talking to a Mom and her teenage son, (libs but nice) who were headed into town to the museum.  Behind us was a couple from Ohio who had driven from cleveland in a rustbucket car because, like me and the boy, they Had to be there.
As we approached the ticket machines, the boy (he's 22, but still "the boy")overheard her asking the husband what they were going to use to buy the tickts, seems cash was pretty tight. (I didn't hear it, I'm kinda deaf)

When he got to the machine to get tickets, he paid for 4, then turned around and handed 'em to the couple. The look on their faces was priceless.
They tried to offer him money, and he just pointed at me and said "He always told me to  perform random acts of kindness.".

I musta done something right.

The next thing I know we're standing on a platform that's literally Crammed full, but no one was pushing or shoving, they were introducing themselves to new friends in all directions.

Boarding the train was an eerie flashback to those scenes they show on the travel channel in tokyo, the trains were literally Crammed full.  This was at the First station!

I can truly say I know what a sardine feels like. (old cliche's never die)
You didn't have to worry about falling over, there was nowhere to fall.

We finally arrive more than 1 1/2 hours later, in what is normally a 40 minute ride. Long past the 10am meet up time at the washington monument.
As we streamed out of the station, Pennsylvania ave. was already a solid river of humanity.  We luckily got to meet up with 3 of the TH Band of Bloggers, with whom I'd had a chance to trade cell numbers. The rest sadly, were scattered around the crowd. (I found out today that Davecatbone was literally, Feet away from us.)

Then the currents took us down toward the capitol, elbow to elbow with patriots from every state and some territories.after an "interesting" shortcut, behind the porta potties.  At the time it was the only place the crowd was still moving toward the capitol lawn.

The boy, having spent 4 years as an Offensive Lineman in high school, naturally took point when the crowd got thicker.  He's not menacing, but for some reason when he walks by, people make room. :o)  As a result, we spent most of the rally right in the Mosh pit, maybe 200 yards from the capitol building. o)

I can truly say I've seen some wild things in my life, but this was a singular event. Schoolchildren will learn about the Second American tea party.

There are a million images in my head, but there are some things that really stick out in my mind.

For one thing, you never saw a Stranger, it was like a great big family reunion. People would read your shirt, or sign and strike up a conversation like you were old friends. And, this may be hard for libs to understand, It didn't feel weird, it felt Right.

I bet I talked to 200+ people that day, and 2 questions were invariably asked.
Where did you come from?  and How did you get here?
The answers were as varied as the US population, but they were all there for the same reason. "We're here to defend the Constitution".

Another thing that struck me was that the air was literally alive with patriotism and Joy. Everyone had a smile, everyone was laughing and pointing out funny signs and such. I must have gotten 100 compliments on my Tshirt.
Although we had gathered for a deadly serious reason, it was FUN.

Finally, The moment that will be with me forever was the sound of a million patriots singing the Star Spangled Banner. I bet half the crowd were in tears. It was one of those experiences no one ever expects, but never forgets.

Hearing "You Lie!" roll through the crowd like the Wave, was pretty darn cool too.
The same happened with chants of USA USA, spontaneous outbursts of sheer happiness.

I see that day as the moment in history where the wave of liberalism, crashed upon the solid Bedrock of America, and began to roll back.

For every person marching saturday, there were 100 Americans who wished they could be there.

The silent majority didn't speak on 9/12,

We Roared!

That's Change we can believe in!
Hope has finally arrived.

To every man, woman, and child there that day, God bless you, and God bless America.

I think he did saturday.

Anyone have a 9/12 experience they want to share?
We'd love to hear 'em.

My take on the flight 93 memorial experience tomorrow, along with slideshows of both.

A day at the Conservative Woodstock

Greetings from a hotel room in Sterling VA.

I'm sitting here on the bed, with a serious case of Barking dogs.
I guess that's what happens when you're an old crippled guy who stands on the lawn of the Capitol Building for 5 straight hours.

I can sum up the entire experience with three simple letters

OMG!!!!!

A couple days ago, I made what I thought to be a generous estimate of 500,000 patriots descending on DC.

Boy was I OFF!!

I've seen crowd estimates today from a Laughable 60,000, to 2 million.

I'm no expert on guaging crowd size, but the "mob" stretched from the Capitol Steps, to the Washington Monument!

I would venture a wild guess and say at Least 1.5 Million patriots from Every state and even Puerto Rico.
At least, they told me they were here from PR, and I can't think of any reason they would lie.
(They weren't liberals, anyhow)

I knew the crowd was going to be enormous long before we even got into the city.
Last night you could feel something in the air, almost like the tension you feel in the air before a huge storm hits.
I knew we were in for a historic moment.

This morning, since we planned to meet a bunch of Fellow TH bloggers, we tried to leave early.
When we arrived at the vienna VA Metro station, the line to buy tickets already spilled out of the terminal, onto the sidewalk, and down the road.  Two hours later, we finally boarded a train so Packed (At the 1st station in the line) that they almost needed shoe-horns to get everyone in.  It reminded me of the scenes you sometimes see of the subway in Tokyo where they hire people to shove passengers into cars.  You didn't have to wory about falling over, there was no place to fall.

That was the first shock of the day.

Then we came streaming out of the Federal Triangle station in what looked like a human river, to witness Pennsylvania alive with a sea of humanity, all heading toward the capital building.

We had planned to meet up with the other TH'ers at the washington monument, between 9-10,  Unfortunately, that never happened because it was almost Noon before we got off the train.
I was able to Hook up with Mrs Paddy, and JefffotF(and his lovely wife), because we'd traded phone numbers ahead of time.
(Later We were able to hook up with CKHustler too, at the old post office bldg.)For the folks we never could find, my apologies, but No on expected the turnout we saw. I was nearly noon when we came out of the station, and the crowd-creature swallowed us up and took us to the capitol bldg.

We started working our way as close to the middle of the "mosh pit" as we could get.   We wanted to be elbow to elbow with Real Americans, and trust me We Were!  I think it will take a week or more to get the smile off Mrs Paddy's face.

The signs, and T-shirts and other amazingly creative ways people showed their love for america, simply Blew me away.Any idiot that tries to call this astroturf has to be bass ackward, because there wasn't a single sign there that someone hadn't slaved over.

I'm too worn out tonight to really do it justice, plus I plan to talk about our experience friday at the flight 93 memorial, so I'll be doing a full post monday.

But I promised I'd blog tonight if I was still conscious, and I am, well somewhat anyhow.

Unlike Michell Obama, I've Always been proud of my country,  but I have never been as PROUD of my Fellow Americans as I am today.

This is the day the Silent Majority found it's voice

America, you did yourself Proud today. :o)

For those of you who couldn't make it, here's a video I just found with a few highlights. :o)

OK, I"m going to bed, now, I'll go into more detail monday.

Here's the Meet up info for saturday morning.

I made a simple map of the Washington Monument plaza (very simple)

Just think of the plaza like a clock, as you walk out the entrance door of the monument, you are facing Noon.

We'll be waiting at 3 o'clock :o)

The march starts at 11:30, so I figure it's safe to wait up till 10 am for everyone to get there.

I'll be holding this sign, at least someone will :o)

and I'll be wearing a shirt with this design

We should be pretty easy to spot. :o)

There's supposed to be a good sized group meeting up.
Anyone reading this that's coming to DC, we'd love to see ya.

That includes you Lurkers too. :o)

I hope to do a blog post on saturday night, but pics will have to wait till i get back home.

A little lighthearted anti Communism

With things getting crazy all over the country, I decided a little comedic relief was in order.

Here are a couple videos that will make you laugh, but think at the same time.

Enjoy. :o)

This one was made in 1948, but the message it conveys is VERY timely.
This shows, the fight we're in has been going on for a LONG time.

This one is much more recent,
A great parody of the Candyman.

This one will make you laugh and cry at the Same Time. :op

Tomorrow morning I'll be posting the meet-up info for anyone going to DC for the march.
If you plan on going, we'd love to meet up with ya. :o)

There's a bunch of TH bloggers, and commenters going.
You lurkers are more than welcome to join us too :o)

A Video Every American Should See!

The video below was created by a teenaged Patriot.

It's a simple but powerful message that every American should see.

If only our "leaders" had half as much sense as this young man.

If this video doesn't make you feel good, you're not really an American. :op

I also just uploaded a new Tshirt design.

This is the shirt my son will be wearing to DC on 9-12. :o)

Marching on Washington

As every thinking person at Townhall knows (that excludes liberals) America is facing a crisis the likes of which hasn't been seen since the Woodrow Wilson administration.

Americans all over this country are waking up to realize that this is NOT the "Change" they voted for.

Thousands of your fellow American patriots are converging on Washington DC on september 12 to let the pretender in chief that we're hip to his plans to transform our country and we want it stopped.

Democrats all over are sending busses loaded with SEIU "purple People" and other union/big labor thugs to shout us down and "shut us up".

This should be a Call To Arms (figuratively of course) for all true American patriots to change their vacation plans, take time off work, or simply drop what they are doing and make sure thier voices get heard.

We've all typed the old sentence on typwriters to test the letters, but now more than any time previously, these words scream out.

Now is the time for all good men(and women) to come to the aid of their country!!!

I understand that many of you have family reunions, vacations, and so-on planned right now, but I want you to ask yourself one question.

If Obama pushes through all his dream legislation and competely takes over the country without a whimper from the American people,  Ask yourself what you will tell your children and grandchildren, when they ask you why Obama was able to do it with no resistance.

Will you say, "I wanted to go, but we went on Vacation instead"?

I understand it's not easy to scrape up the cash, and hard to take time off, the dog needs to be fed, and yada yada yada.

Let me put it this way,

 I'm a Cripple, I walk with a cane.
I'm not a Rich Man, in fact I'm putting off some bills to pay for the trip.

I already know that when I get back home from DC, I'll be laid up for at least a week and will be in constant pain for about a month, BUT, I  won't let this socialist turn My country into something I don't recognize.

How about you?

A bunch of us from here at Townhall are planning to meet up in DC on the 12th
(I plan to be either at the pentagon or shanksville PA on the 11th)

We are coordinating the trip at my chat room  which you can find here http://www.fundmental.com/thchat.php

I don't make any money from people going there, In fact it costs me money every month. I'm not in this for personal gain, or self aggrandizement, I'm here because I LOVE my country and refuse to sit idly by while it's stolen from us.

I see the future of our republic important enough to change my plans.

My 23 year old son is worried enough that he risked his career to take time off to come to DC.

People from all over this country are changing their plans because they want their voices to be heard over the white-noise coming from the state run media.

Is America important enough for you to join us?

If So, then I'd love to see you join us.

 One more thing,
since some folks expressed interest in my T-shirt idea, I came up with some designs, posted below.

I make a whole dollar off each shirt, I basically just want to recoup my expenses.  I just want to get the word out to America.

If you click the picture for a design it will take you to the coresponding cafepress page to order one :)

If anyone has any good Ideas for shirts I'm open to suggestions too ;)

Is Dissent Still Patriotic?

First off I want to apologize for my long absence.
Between my screwed up connection, and TH's "Improvements", I sometimes go for days unable to access TH.

This morning, Nancy Pelosi, and Steny Hoyer said that Americans protesting Obamacare are Un-American!.

Here's the story from the LA times.

By Mark Silva
5:05 AM PDT, August 10, 2009
Reporting from Washington -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, insisting at the start of a long and politically heated summer congressional recess that healthcare reform can be achieved this fall, today are calling the disruption of town-hall meetings by vocal protesters "simply un-American."

"We believe it is healthy for such a historic effort to be subject to so much scrutiny and debate," Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Hoyer (D-Md.) wrote in a USA Today opinion piece published today.

"However, it is now evident that an ugly campaign is underway not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue," the two leaders wrote. "These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views -- but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American."

Follow this link to see how ABC news portrays the "Angry Mobs".
(they don't allow embedding)

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4G9RGxahTM&NR=1

Gee, if I remember correctly, our current Secretary of State herself claimed a couple years ago that Dissent was the "Highest form of Patriotism"!

Here's the quote:

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic, We should stand up and say, we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!"

So, it appears that as long as an evil Republican is in office, Dissent is Patriotic, but when an "Enlightened Liberal Democrat" is in office, any dissent is suddenly "Un-American"

At a town-hall meeting in St Louis last week, a black conservative small businessman was attacked by goons from the SEIU "purple People", for selling Gadsen flags and anti-Obamacare buttons.  When asked by a witness why he attacked the man, the SEIU goon replied with "He was Attacking America!!".

I guess in the Bizzarro world we now live in, disagreeing with "Dear Leader, is "Attacking America".

Pelosi calls us Un-American, the DNC has labled anyone who disagrees with Obama, "Angry Mobs", lefty pundits all over the country claim we're simply stooges of the evil insurance companies, and Astroturfers.

This is Hilarious coming from the party that INVENTED Astroturfing!

David Axlerod owns a company that specializes in Rent-a-Mobs for astroturfing lefty programs.

Below are a couple videos of "Patriotic American Grass-Roots" groups in action during the Bush administration.

In October 2006, Jim Gilchrist from the Minutemen tried to address Columbia University, and some "Patriotic Americans" storm the stage.

In august of 08, during the Republican convention, some more "Patriotic American grass-roots groups" take to the streets, and cause hundreds of thousand of dollars in damage "Letting their voices be heard".

Now, compare this to one of the "Angry Mobs" at a townhall meeting for AARP, the group claiming to care about America's seniors.

Wow, That is one Unruly Mob!
Notice how they assaulted the speaker, threw things, then trashed the room......
Oh wait, none of that happened.
To me, it looked like they were asking for answers which AARP refused to give.

The left sees astroturfing where none exists, because it's All they know.
They can only get a large group of protesters together by bussing them in. They can't understand that average people would protest without someone telling them what to do.

I guess the left is unhappy that conservatives, moderates and regular folks are now using the same tactics the left has used for decades, ad the lefties don't like it one little bit.
According to our fearless leaders in Washington, dissent is only patriotic when you're protesting evil republicans, when dems are in charge, we're all supposed to sit down and shut up like good little Serfs.

I for one REFUSE to sit down and shut up!

I believe this tactic from the left is going to backfire badly.
Real Americans see their friends and neighbors standing up for their civil rights, as the democrats accuse us of being angry mobs.
This will only create More anger, especially since Dear Leader has called out his attack dogs in the SEIU and other unions, and told them to "Punch back twice as hard".

When average Americans see their neighbors attacked by Union Goons, they're not going to sit down and shut up. In fact I believe that this is going to be a Flashpoint, and the beginning of the end for liberal democrat rule.

My advice, don't let them intimidate you, and make sure you let your voice be heard, BUT, be prepared to defend yourself against Union Goons, and "Purple People", AND Carry a Video Camera, to capture the abuse that's sure to come from the left.

Let's show 'em just how "Un-American" we can Be!!

Finally, I'm considering making a line of T-shirts with 2-3 different designs protesting Obamacare, if there appears to be enough interest.
What do ya think?

It's Groundhog day, the day when a funny looking critter decides if we'll have an early spring, or more winter.

I'll have an order of fried Sea-Kittens please

"People don't seem to like fish. They're slithery and slimy, and they have eyes on either side of their pointy little heads—which is weird, to say the least. Plus, the small ones nibble at your feet when you're swimming, and the big ones—well, the big ones will bite your face off if Jaws is anything to go by.

Of course, if you look at it another way, what all this really means is that fish need to fire their PR guy—stat. Whoever was in charge of creating a positive image for fish needs to go right back to working on the Britney Spears account and leave our scaly little friends alone. You've done enough damage, buddy. We've got it from here. And we're going to start by retiring the old name for good. When your name can also be used as a verb that means driving a hook through your head, it's time for a serious image makeover. And who could possibly want to put a hook through a sea kitten?"

The above may look like satire, but sadly, it's the Actual text from the PETA website.

From the wonderful people who passed out comic books to elementary students entitled "Your Dad Kills Animals!" comes their latest lunacy.

PETA (People Euthanizing Tossed Animals (Look it up)) Now wants to change the name of FISH, yes Fish! to, (wait for it)     "SEA-KITTENS"!!  (No S&%$!)

I guess it's not enough to throw red paint on celebrities who wear clothing made from truly renewable fibers (fur), Or frighten children by telling them that since their daddy eats the flesh of dead cows they should hide their puppies from that monster. (Seriously), or even the PETA freak that called Sarah Palin a Cannibal because she eats Moose. (If she'll eat a moose, she'll eat a Child!!! (Yes Seriously)), now they want us to stop eating Fish.

Now, if we take this totally illogical leap to it's logical conclusion, we can see just how ridiculous the idea is.

It will affect National security.  How many enemies will be afraid to hear the USS Sword-kitten is sailing their way?

It will affect Local politics. How many people will really want to live in Kitten-Kill New York?

Pepperidge Farms will go out of business, because no one will want to eat bags of Gold-Kittens.

Gortons would have to start selling Batter dipped Kitten-sticks.

Heck, it will even affect Astrology, Because Pisces would be the sign of the Kitten.

Not to mention that it would be ridiculous calling Abe Vigoda "Sea-Kitten".

Can you imagine going into McDonalds, and Ordering a Filet-o-Kitten sandwich?

How about Long John Silvers  Kitten-and Chips?

I can't wait till our local restaurant starts advertising it's Friday Kitten-Fry.

What's next?  Are they going to rename Lobsters "Claw-Puppies"?
Maybe change the name of Oysters and clams to  "Ocean Hamsters"?

Do you need any more proof that liberalism is a mental disorder?
(Like you did anyway)

Actually, I have a feeling the whole thing will backfire on PETA.

I'm kinda beginning to wonder how the family cat would taste with melted butter and tartar sauce. (here kitty kitty kitty!)

As always, comments are welcome and encouraged.
And if you can come up with more examples I'd love to hear 'em. :o)

All the Secrets that are fit to Print

A few days ago, the New York Times upheld it's "grand tradition" of handing our enemies all of our secrets.

Saturday, the Gray Bit&& divulged more American secrets to our enemies when they put the story on their front page about our Covert attempts to stop the Iranian nuke program.

This continues a long line of security secrets the Times has handed to our enemies since 2001.

We used to be able to track the movements of Osama Bin Laden through his satellite phone, until the New York Times decided to tell the terrorists that we were tracking them through cell-phone traffic.  An important tool for tracking terrorists taken from our toolbox to sell a few papers.

We were able to track terrorists through the international banking system, by following the money trail, Until the times divulged this information, and removed another tool for stopping terror.

The times was gleeful in exposing the Rendition program that was started under Bill Clinton, yet they remained silent about it, until Bush came to the white house, then they used it as a club to beat Bush over the head.

Do you see a pattern emerging here?

Can you imagine if they had released secret information about the Normandy Invasion during world war 2?  Or if they had released secrets about the Manhattan project?

Their hero FDR would have shut down the paper and imprisoned the entire editorial staff.

My question is, Does the Times Hate America?
Or do they just hate George Bush?

How can anyone at the paper call themselves an American, while they endanger the lives of Americans to sell a few more copies of their bird cage liner?

The Real question is, will it continue when their "Anointed One" takes office this week?

As far as I'm concerned, the Times has repeatedly committed Treason, and their publisher should be in Leavenworth, or dancing at the end of a rope for endangering the lives of fellow Americans.

All the news that's Fit to Print, has become, All the News that Gives Bush Fits.
