Here are some of Obama's views on the "Issues"
On Taxes.
From all the reasearch I've done on the subject, it appears there isn't a tax increase anywhere that Obama doesn't support. He wants to increase income taxes, supposedly "on the Rich". I remember when Clinton raised taxes "on the Rich" and people with $20k or more in income saw their taxes go up. The AMT was meant only for the Rich too if I remember correctly.
He also wants to give the U.N., (who we all know are models of fiscal responsibility), the ability to levy taxes on american citzens to pay for his new "Global Poverty Initiative". Obama wants to hand $850 billion/yr to the U.N. to heal our Image in the world.
Meanwhile, he heartily supports ethanol from corn, which is already fueling food riots all over the globe, because the wheat we normally give out by the millions of bushels has been replaced by the farmers with Corn to convert to fuel.
Yes the world will "love us" as we drive around in our cars powered by the food they need to feed their children.
On the Middle East.
Obama claims he's going to "fix" the problems in the middle east by having a tea party with every freaky tin-pot dictator in the area. Oh yeah, and Bombing our allies in Pakistan.
Somehow in his twisted version of reality, once we yank all our troops home, and force them to leave with their tails between their legs, the warring factions in the region will all sit down and sing a rousing rendition of Kumbaya. Whjo cares if they've been killing each other for 2000 years, all democrats know in their hearts that they're only doing it because they hate George Bush.
On Race Relations.
Well I shouldn't go into this subject, otherwise I'll be labled a hateful White man. (a label that may have some power if I was actually White!)
On Education.
According to Obama, all the wonderful teachers who belong to the NEA are woefully underpaid, so even if a teacher is terribly inept, they will never be fired for incompetence, and will receive a big fat raise, but they can only tach liberal concepts or they'll be replaced with someone who will toe the party line. Teaching self discipline, problem solving, and even simple economics has given way to "Multicultural studies, Women's studies, and socialism 101.
On National Defense.
In his Own Words, Obama has said he'll stop funding for all "unproven weapons technology". Which boils down to all new weapon tech, because until it's been used in the battlefield ALL new technology is Unproven!
At one time a Catapult was considered unproven technology. He also plans to gut our nuclear arsenal, along with the afforementiontioned cut n run strategy in the middle east.
From the Obama philosophy, if you're too weak to defend yourself, then the world will love you. (Until they invade you that is)
On the Border.
He wants to keep it open to create a new "victim class" for the dems to "rescue". they did such a fine job fixing the problems in the black community ya know.
On Energy Policy.
Our energy mess has Democrat written all over it.
We can't drill in Anwar, or off the coasts within 150 miles, while China is, at this very moment, drilling off the coast of Cuba, less than 60 miles from key west. We are letting China take Our Oil! We can't place wind-farms off the coast of MA because teddy kennedy will be offended to know that there are some ugly wind mills 50 miles off the coast.
We're not allowed to build a new oil refinery, or a nuclear power plant because the envirowackos won't let it happen. Hell, we can't even build a pollution free hydro plant because it may endanger a snail darter somewhere.
What is Obama's vision to fix high gas prices? Tax the Oil Companies!
He wants a "Reasonable Profits Board" to oversee oil company profits, to keep them from making "Obscene amounts of money". First off, the 70s proved a windfall profits tax is a really Bad idea. Not to mention I haven't ever heard of anything more Anti-American as a "Reasonable Profits Board". How long before that board tells Mcdonalds how much they can make, or sears? Or Me?
I'm not looking forward to the day when I get a letter from the Reasonable Profits Board telling me that my hard work generated too much profit so the govt. is taking a bigger chunk to be FAIR!
Of course Hollyweird types, musicians, and sports heroes will be exempt.
There are plenty more "Issues" we can discuss, but I think this sample is enough to show you that we don't need all the stuff about Wright, ayers, his hateful wife, and more to tell us that an Obama presidency is a really bad idea for America.
